OK Ladies, I have just up-dated my Publication blog. I had a lovely little surprise in the bank que this morning (appart from a quick call from the lovely Lusi) I was flipping through the latest FK and found a LO of mine that I didn't know was going to be published. It had been allocated to issue 55 but didn't appear, so I thought nothing more of it...anyway there it is

The BIG reveal!!!!!!!

For a couple of weeks now Lu and I and Lusi have been muttering under our breath about something going on that we're a bit excited about and now I can finally share!

The three of us, along with the supremely talented Jill Geraghty-Groves and the lovely Alana Steadman, have started our own challenge blog called Everyday Garbage. It reflects our love of garbage and tat and not-quite-scrapbooking type things that we use on our layouts and the idea is that hopefully we'll inspire you to try some new stuff on your layouts and in return we know you'll all inspire us with your creativity and ability to push the envelope with our challenges.

The details of how it all works are on the blog as well as links to our individual blogs, the start of a photo album with notes about what we've used in our definition of garbage on some of our layouts and a v.cool "I play with garbage" blinkie link so you can grab one of your very own and be an Everyday Garbage Girl too!!!

Please bear with us though as we're all pretty new to running a challenge blog, many times a participant but never the organisers so we'll do our best to keep everything running smoothly for those of you who want to come play with us.

If you have time, go have a look-see, have a read and let us know what you think. There are lots of challenge blogs about at the moment and we don't plan on being competition for any of them. This is purely for fun (although we are giving away a RAK each fortnight for the most innovative take on our challenges and the first RAK is some drop dead gorgeous goodies from the brand new Marah Johnson Rock Star collection!!!!!) and we've added a link to other challenge blogs so you can get even more inspiration.

1st Day in the shop...all by myself...lol

While Lu is off doing her typing job, I am in the shop by myself for the next few weeks...miss you babe!!
I had an ummmm....interesting...ummmm variety of....ummm....ladies come in the shop today, perhaps I should leave it there. But I will say I am always curious why someone comes into a scrapbooking shop looking for things like packing tape!!!...lol

Anyhoo, I did get some LO's done, so I share

I did this LO of Lusi Austin's kidlets, Stassi, Elijah, and beautiful little Ethan. Let me tell you she has got 3 of the most darling little ones. Even though we had only just met them, Lu and I were both getting lots of hugs, and they are just so sweet. I really do hope one day Lily has the opportunity to play with Stassi...I really think they would get on like a house on fire. But honestly, aren't they just BEAUTIFUL!!??!!!


This is offcourse my bossy boots. For a while now her favourtie word in the whole world is 'What?' and I HATE it!!! Try as I might to instill 'Pardon' or 'Excuse me' or 'Yes mummy' all I get in this really rude 'WHAT'....grrrrrrrr



And this is offcourse a tribute to the Donuts I bought back from Sydney...much to the delight of the whole family. 3 Dozen donuts (minus a couple of testing ones...lol) were all eaten in a matter of 36 hours...UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!


Well guys, I do hope you are all well. Ronin has come down with some cough/cold thingy again, I so can't wait for summer and the kids have a couple of months of being well again, seems like this winter every week or so they have had a runny nose or something.

Back to reality...and that aint so bad...lol

Lu and I were back in the shop today, and even though it was only a week ago that we last saw it, it sort of felt like forever!!!
I got back into the swing of it in the last couple of days...(finally got my hands back in the ink and fiskers...lol)

We are BBBAAAACCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!

Well, after 2800km and I have no idea how many hours, Lu and I arrived safely back in dear old Brissy.
We had the MOST AMAZING...... FANTASTIC...... PERFECT time EVER!!!!!!!
I honestly am still so thankful for how well everything went...no hic-ups, no problems, no issues, just the most relaxing...yet tiring time I have ever had.
The Ladies at SM, Krys, Casey, Jo and Kristy were just fantastic, and welcoming....love those ladies!!!!!
We saw all the things we wanted, the Opera house, the bridge, Bondi beach, Amazing markets at Glebe...where insidentally I bought the most Fabo hat!!!!

I think we took enough pics to fill 50 albums...but here a few



From Sydney we headed to Katoomba and finally got to meet one of the most Beautiful people EVER!!! the wonderfully talented and pure Joy LUSI AUSTIN!!!!!!!!!
She, her wondeful Hubby Brett and gorgeous kids welcomed us with such open arms, and I can honestly say I have never felt more comfortable in someone eles home before. Lusi is truely the most beautiful human being I have ever met...inside out!!! Love ya babe!!! and she has such a gorgeous family, can't wait to catch up with her again really soon!!!



Well, to be honest with you guys I am still recovering from the drive and I have to get dinner ready, I am off to the shop tommorrow and I am sure to get some LO's done to share there...I think I missed my fiskers as much as my own bed!!! LOL

So it's not long now...I coloured Lu's hair thias afternoon...so she will be all fabulose for the trip...lol

The Anticapation BUILDS!!!!!

So much organising to do though...good thing as mummies we are pretty darn good at the whole 'Think on the fly' thing.
Off to the shop today...just half a day, go to do some packing and arrangimg offcourse.
But I seriously want to play with the brand spanking new Basic Grey that has just come in at CYBERSCRAPS just delish, particually if you have lots of boys to scrap...as I do. I did do a LO yesterday...

ROAD TRIP, ROAD TRIP, ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK so Lu and I decided....well I decided and it didn't take her too much to be convinced, that we should deliver our masters stuff to Sydney ourselves. I know it probably seems really silly, but it seemed like a great excuse to get away for a few days. Lu and I have never been to Sydney, and we have both been so stressed and working really hard that I felt that both of us deserve a little time away.
so ROAD TRIP, ROAD TRIP ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!
We are hiring a car on Thursday, loading her up, and in true 'Thelma and Louise' style hitting the road!!!! TOO MUCH FUN!!!!!
My mother has kindly offered us her Navman (some GPS thingy) and video camera. We will be staying somewhere...we will find out when we get there, and also (equally as exciting) we will be visiting the Fabulous Lusi Austin!!!!!!! so can't wait for that babe!!!

Are we MAD???? YES, perhaps, but what an adventure (I am so easily pleased these days!!!!)


Now back to real life....lol

OK, so I haven't disappeared completely off the face of the earth. I simply have been pretty lazy and not updated my blog...SLACK!!!!! I have had a few kids with minor illnesses...nothing too bad, just coughs and colds. My heart goes out to all of those of you who have been really ill, or have kids that are or have been. This dreadful Flu that is going around seems to be knocking everyone for 6((((BIG SQUISHY HUGS)))))).

So I best share what I have been up to


This is the LO I did for the All About Eve Blog. We had to scrap our 'Booty' this fortnight....something I NEVER thought I would do....but I guess the idea is to stretch ourselves, and it certainly did that!!!!! (you may notice that the cargos are a bit stretched too!!!!!)


My One Little Word LO this week is using the wiord 'seek' as inspiration. I think alot of the time so many of us get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the world we forget who we are....or maybe it's just me!!! but anyhoo I think the older I get the more I realise that finding new and interesting parts of who i am can be just as important as everything eles....I think


Ok here one I did just for me. We have LOTS of cool new products in the shop now. Lovely Buzz and Bloom, and some really scrummpy new papers. The pic I took at the Ekka last week....doesn't that ice-cream just look perfect???? I tell ya, 5 mins after the pic was taken it was nearly as attractive!!!



Our 'get Real' challenge at Cyberscraps this month was to scrap your car....this is my enormase hunk of metal...I hate it!!!! but it gets us all from A to B, so I guess that's important!!!!


Now aparently...thanks to Andrea (Ta babe) I'm a big rockin' girl!!!!!

Ekka...pics...soccer.....Premier Pete...a LO..stuff

I Know...I've been slack. Life seems to be getting in the way of my computer Lately...and my scrapping suppies...I HATE THAT!!!!

Anyways Kelly, the kids, Doug, Lu and Lachlann and I headed off to the Ekka yesterday (the Brisbane show, fot those outter towners). A Great time was had by all, We won tickets of MMM the local radio staion for the breakfast and a few free things so that made it so much more afforable. Chanel 9's Today show was there too, and gave the kids Strawberry ice-creams and dagwood dogs so that they could get some footage, Ronin really loved his...I guess you can tell. Queenslands premier Peter Beattie was there for the oppenning too, and I have always taught me kids that weather you aggree with the political standing of a politician or not you should show them respect. Seeing as it was the queensland government that supported the Acadamies that kris is going to next year he should shake the perimers hand and thank him for the opportunity, which offcourse he did. He looks mighty pleased with himself too dosen't he...lol. To his credit Premier Pete was very kind and hospitable.




I did this LO during the week also...one of those ones that never l;ooked right...so I kept s=chucking stuff at it...it didn't improve, but oh well, I am a full believer of sharing everything...even the stuff up's ....lol



Well I am off to the shop today...my peace place...Hopefully I should get the bonnie babies comp done..hopefully

Kelly has a coaches v coaches soccer match on tommorrow night, and I am so looking forward to it. Kel is so competitive that even though it is supposed to be a bit of fun, I just know he is going to bust his bum out there, and lets just say, he isn't as young, or as fit as he used to be...should be funny

Anyways, Cyberscraps is still having it's 30% off sale until saturday and although we are selling out of alot of stuff, there is still plenty of yummies on offer....we have to move it to make room for all the yummy new CHA stuff...and I so can't wait for that!!!!

PHEW!!!!! all done, now for me. Well Kris won his footy game yesterday 38-12...go boys, so now there are a certain for the finals. Unfortunatly the soccer didn't go so well, and were defeated...and probably wont make the finals at this stage, oh well, Scott loves the game so much I really don't think he cares either way.

Lily had her first sleep over at Grandma's and Grandad's by herself on Saturady night. From what I can gather she had a great time, and Ronin was really good at home too...a bit like a pea rattling around in a tin can...but he was a good boy!!!

I did a couple of LO's today Of our percious new addition, Toby...he is such good subject matter


Lily ofcourse loves him to death....wants to hug him all the time

I know I have gotten this challenge in by the smallest of margins...but there you go, I did it...lol

Hows everyone doin'????

I am feeling pretty darn fine today, The ussal bills and worries are always there, but aopart from the mundanity of modern exsistance, Cass's world is peachey.

My little sister Trish brought her two boys over this morning for a bit of a photo shoot. I have been dying to take some naked shoots of little Toby, and boy oh boy did the little man perform. He loved lying around on my bed in his all together. I had the heater up in my room so it was nice and toastie, Trisha had jsut fed him, and Aunty Cass could have taken photos all day.
Offcourse I had to share one of my favourites. Isn't he just the cutest thing???!!!! He's only two weeks old, but boy is he strong.



I did this LO for the 'How Dare you' Blog. The theme is Spirituality. I stared off with this idea on 'things that I believe in', and all I kept thinking of was the old savage garden song Affirmation...so I went with that. I know it's a bit of streght on the theme, but what dod you do when the LO tells you to do something...except do it...lol The style is alot 'simplier' than I ussally do...but as I said this was a bossy LO that sort of screamed at me to stop...so I listened to that too.

I did this one this morning. Ronin had come out of my room a couple of weeks ago with my shoes on, my beads around my neck, and my mascara all over his mouth. 'I weady for work' he proudly annouced....sadly though my mascara didn't make it, gone forever in a fenzy of aplication


Well guys, Lu and are are off to the shop tommorrow, and we have a crop tommorrow night, so if anyone wants to come play we would love the company
